The Honest Comparison

Two careers, one expertise.
Very different lives.

This isn't a step down. It's a pivot that puts your knowledge to work on your terms — with the letters after your name earning respect in a room rather than a commission statement.

Category

Life as a Qualify Trainer

Evening client calls, weekend reviews, no clear boundary

Trainer Stories

They already had the expertise.
They just needed the stage.

Three professionals who made the switch. Their words, not ours.

I used to spend Sunday evenings re-reading suitability letters. Now I spend them planning how to explain the same concepts to twelve people who actually want to understand them. The pay is comparable and the Sunday evenings are mine again.

Everyone assumed I needed to become an advisor to progress. Qualify showed me there was a third path — one where my technical depth became the entire point. I'm now the person who explains cashflow modelling to advisors, not the one buried in their back office.

I knew the product market cold. What I didn't expect was how much I'd enjoy the room dynamics — watching someone's face change when affordability calculations suddenly click. That's a better feeling than closing a deal.

Your First 90 Days

The career change
mapped to the hour.

The abstract becomes sequential. Ninety days from first conversation to confirmed trainer contract — with no moment where you're left to figure it out alone.

Days 1–14

Phase — Induction

Orientation & Curriculum Briefing

You receive a structured induction pack, meet your regional Learning Manager, and shadow two live delivery sessions. No teaching yet — just absorbing the rhythm of the room.

Deliverables

  • Qualification framework overview
  • Delivery standards briefing
  • Shadow two cohort sessions
Days 15–45

Phase — Co-Facilitation

Supported Delivery Begins

You co-facilitate three full-day sessions alongside an experienced trainer. You lead sections you're most confident in. Feedback is immediate, written, and constructive — not a performance review.

Deliverables

  • Lead two topic modules solo
  • Peer observation report
  • Learner feedback score
Days 46–75

Phase — Supervised Solo

First Solo Delivery

You deliver a full day independently. Your Learning Manager observes the final hour only. The room is yours. Most trainers report this as the moment the career switch becomes real.

Deliverables

  • Full-day solo delivery
  • Cohort assessment marking
  • Post-delivery debrief
Days 76–90

Phase — Qualified Trainer

Confirmed & Contracted

You receive your Qualify Trainer accreditation, your programme allocation for the next quarter, and your salaried contract is confirmed with full benefits. The abstract becomes permanent.

Deliverables

  • Qualify Trainer accreditation
  • Q2 programme allocation
  • Salaried contract confirmed

The first conversation takes 20 minutes. The rest follows from there.
